ABOUT THE EVENT /
Together with our partner Universities, we organise the seventh edition of the retail design summer school. This year we will make a major change though. It will be blended and organized under the Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme.
The main goal hasn't changed though, and is still to invite students from different disciplines (interior design, architecture, product design, marketing, business development, experience design, fashion design, communication design, etc.) to collectively reflect on the challenges and opportunities of the “sustainable store of the future”.
Indeed, as a university we need to take responsibility into this matter by investing in research that might impact the large eco-impact the retail sector has at the moment. We invested two years of study to come up with insights, tools and expertise to educate all stakeholders in how to design more sustainable stores.
The general set-up is to combine the state-of-the-art knowledge coming from both academics and experienced practitioners with the creativity of students, while working on a real life project. We will design the whole customer journey and the store of a brand (to be announced). Each touchpoint will be designed on a conceptual level with the focus on sustainability and experience. You will learn to work in multi-disciplinary teams on an omni-channel (or phygital) brand story.

Additionally, extra-curricular activities and social events will further stimulate international collaboration and ensure a lively and fun atmosphere.
